- Phase 1/2 inventory and diagnosis of the restored 108-run grid - six candidate aggregators screened on validation (seed 0) - top-2 confirmed on new seeds 3/4; v_shrink met the pre-registered improvement rule (4/4 pairs, mean +0.0180 validation), v_cap4 did not - report, tables, frozen plan/ranking hashes, driver scripts and tests
exploration_v2
Diagnostic follow-up to the completed 108-run PROTEAN beta grid. Everything in this directory is new; the tracked research code, configs, tests, scripts, results, partition manifests and the immutable research specification are untouched.

The driver is idempotent: it reconstructs queue state from COMPLETE,
.failed, .running and live systemd scopes, retries a failed run once from a
clean directory, and never kills a process it did not start.
